First week of October

Here are some of the yummy things we made this week!

The first is Baked Chicken Chimichangas! These were so good! It is probably our new favorite recipe. We got this recipe from Pinterest.
Here are some homemade blueberry muffins. These were also super yummy! Aaron could not stop talking about how good these were and can't wait for me to make them again!
This is Apple Crisp. A girl at my school gave us a huge bag of apples from her orchard so we made some Apple Crisp. I personally don't like cooked apple recipes but Aaron is loving it!
Here is some homemade Applesauce! I usually don't like applesauce but if you warm this up it is super duper yummy!
Here is my super cure husband!! He is trying to make a silly face, I think he looks like a moose.
Here is our baby girl snuggles in her Halloween dress. Isn't she the cutest?
We love each other so much!
Friday night we went bowling with one of Aarons clients Jeremy. Jeremy is so nice I think he is adorable. He loves me so much he bought a purple MP3 player because he knew purple was my favorite color!
Aaron and I at the bowling place...

Saturday night we went out with some good friends of ours Chris & Allison Martin. We went to the Haunted Straw maze.

You can't tell very well but that is two camels! They were at the Straw maze for some odd reason. It was so cool to see them there!
The four of us right before we went it.
Here is us an hour into the Straw Maze, at first we were all pretty scared but after getting lost and running into the same scary guys over and over we braved up and got a picture with them.
And last of all an old picture I found of Snuggles sleeping on the couch. Isn't she the cutest?

Today I stayed home from school. I didn't plan on it but it just happened that way. My school is emotionally draining so now and again I need a day home to remember what is important in life. I had the chance to Skype with my sister for 2 hours and my mom for half an hour. It was nice to be able to talk to them, I almost felt like they were with me. A girl at my school has an apple orchard and gave us an entire grocery bag of apples. So today I spent lots of hours peeling apples to make homemade applesauce and apple crisp for Aaron. It turned out great and it was nice to stay home and feel like a housewife. I can't wait to have kids of my own and spend my days as a mother and wife baking and cleaning. I realized today that we never take pictures anymore. So I am going to start taking pictures more to capture our life right now. It looks as though we will be in good ole Rexburg for another two years to finish of Aarons bachelors degree. After that I am not sure where we will end up for graduate school. Well Aaron just home so have a great day!

Hello World,
Aaron and I have been busy with our work and school so not much exciting has happened in a while. Aaron is working full time with disabled people and I am still in school. Our days usually go a bit like this: 5am alarm goes off, we hit snooze twice then get up. We start out our day with morning prayer and then take a few minutes to read our scriptures personally. We then go on a walk or a run depending on how we are feeling. Then we come back home and get ready for the day and then make breakfast. We eat breakfast together and then if we have time to spare we do family scripture study then, if we don't have time then we do it at lunch. Then we head our separate ways, Aaron to work and I to school. Sometimes we get to eat lunch together and sometimes we don't depending on his work schedule. Monday night is FHE and then we do an activity together. Tuesday night is soon to be Institute night starting next week. Wednesday night is temple night. The rest of the week nights are for doing whatever we need to or want to. Sunday church is from 9-12. We love having morning church! We recently learned how to Index names and do some family history. We love doing this and find it really cool. Aaron traced his family back to the 1500's and I traced mine back to 1080! It has been cool to see where our names com from. Snuggles sleeps everyday all day whether we are home or not. Then she randomly gets a burst of energy for like 5 minutes and wants to play, then wears herself out and goes back to sleep. Its nice to have her company with us. We now have 3 missionaries out, 2 of Aarons brothers and 1 of mine. It is neat to read their different letters and see their different experiences. Aaron is helping a couple move in our ward right now. He has now been gone for 3 hours, but it is good he is doing service. I only have 4 months left of school and then I will be done and can actually work and make some money. Aaron and I are trying to decide whether to go to PTA school right now or just get on Fast Grad and get his bachelors. He has a great job right now that would help provide for us as long as he is here in Rexburg so we are praying about where we should go from here. If he decides to get his Bachelors now rather than his PTA, he would graduated April 2015, which isn't that far away. We LOVE our new apartment it feels homey. I guess that is all that is going on in our life right now. Have a great day!

Mesa Falls

This is Mesa Falls! These are the upper falls
Snuggles is scared of waterfalls so when we are near them we have to hold her. I don't think she realizes that she would be safer on the ground than having us hold her... I have realized that Snuggles is scared of a lot of things.
Emily and Snuggles at the falls!

 These are the lower falls.
We had a great day enjoying the great outdoors! We are doing great. I got a job at HAS inc taking care of disabled people. I have also been busy observing physical therapy so that I can apply to PTA School. Emily stays busy caring for me and going to school. She only has 5 months left. She is so good at what she does. We also celebrated our 1st anniversary! It has been a wonderful first year of marriage. I am so excited to spend eternity with my wife and best friend: Emily Lynn Thompson Vernon! I know each year our love will grow stronger and we will care about each other more and more!

Camping at Yellowstone 2013

Emily got off school early, so we went to Yellowstone! We ate tin foil dinners. It was rainy but it stopped raining just long enough for us to set up camp and cook dinner. We love our tent!
There is my camper wife! She is a great camper. She didn't used to like camping but after she met me she learned to like it. It got a bit chilly at night and it was rainy but we stayed pretty warm with sleeping bags and blankets.
 Yellowstone Lake
This is a "Buff Buff" My little (now big in height) brother Cory would call them "Buff Buffs."
This is a little mud pot that looks like a giant's stew. I mean the stick looks like a spoon or something that a giant would use.

This is the dragon tongue because the water splatters and it looks like a dragon tongue slithering in and out. It sounded like a dragon too (it scared Snuggles).
This is my personal favorite: The Mud Volcano. It used to be a mud geyser but because of earthquakes it doesn't explode anymore.

I got a picture when they weren't looking

This is Fred the Buff Buffalo
 Emily liked the baby ones
Fred the buff Buffalo thought the grass was greener on the other side... a very common misconception.
Snuggles was growling at Fred's cousin, Pancho, little did she know that Pancho is buffer than Fred. She really did growl at the buffalo. Emily and I were like Snuggles wouldn't stand a chance against Pancho.
 Milk!

 Upper Falls
That is a lot of water! Where does it come from? Maybe Yellowstone lake

This is myself and a not so young doggy
Emily loved the waterfalls! She said "I didn't know Yellowstone had waterfalls." She now wants to see every waterfall in the U.S.

This is an Elk, he is sitting down eating the grass. He weighs 867 pounds, he is 15 years old and drives a chevy astro...
This Elk was a little camara shy and hid his face in the grass.
 The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

Lower Falls, at the brink of the falls

This photo looks like it belongs on a postcard

Actually... this one definitely belongs on a postcard

We love each other soooooo muuuuuch!
 I am happy
 Emily is happy

That was our trip to Yellowstone!
