Our week in pictures...

I found this recipe for cookies and cream cookies. So we decided to try them out. Here is Aaron being sweet and making them while I do boring homework.
 The dough was yummy:)
We loved these cookies! We will definitely be keeping the recipe!
We both had Tuesday off so we decided to just play games and hangout all day. We also wore matching outfits lol :)
Aaron always puts toothpaste on my toothbrush for me. I think it is the sweetest thing.
A pipe in our car melted and we had to get it replaced. It took a week to get the part so we were driving around with it disconnected for a whole week. The mechanic said it was fine to drive so we did.
This is my favorite thing to eat on my way to work. I make a huge batch of waffles and then freeze them in packs of two. Whenever we want waffles we just pop em in the toaster. I like them just plain so its great to grab and go.
We thought winter was over but it wasn't! Look at all this snow!
This was my view while driving to work.
Crockpot Lasagna, this is one of our favorite and easiest meals to make. I made it before work, and dinner was ready when I got home. I love it because Aaron will rave about it for the whole week following, and because I don't have to cook when I get home.
Aaron won another bet with me and so we got Thor instead of the Jungle Book lol. I always lose bets, I'm not sure why I make them. Since Captain America 2 came out on Thursday, we had to catch up on the last two movies that had come out. We watched the end of the Avengers Monday night, and Thor on Tuesday.
Tuesday we made a yummy breakfast! We finally bought some sausage after wanting it for the past year and a half. We don't like to spend money on meat but this week we splurged and it was so yummy!
Here we are playing Bang for the millionth time in a row lol we just love this game.
This is Snuggles while we played...

Isn't he a cutie? I love that we can play games for hours on end and neither of us get bored. We love it!

This shot is so perfect lol, She randomly licked her nose while I was taking a picture and I happened to catch it.
 More snow...
Aaron always clears the windows for us. I think I've only done it ONCE since we've gotten married and that's because he was gone. He is such a gentleman.
We decided to go to our favorite restaurant the Hickory, since we hadn't been in a while. As usual it was fantastic.
We've been married a year and eight months now. It sure has flown by!
We randomly discovered this delicious food. It is just rice and beans but we season it with Cumin and a few other things and it is so yummy! And practically free because we have such a large food storage of rice. We like to cut up polish sausages and put it in also, then eat it with ketchup. Probably sounds gross but we absolutely love it!
These are Polish Sausage Sandwiches with my homemade rolls. These are also really yummy. Can you tell we like food? lol
Capri Sun is my weakness.  We buy it every few months when it goes on sale and we have it with like every meal until the box is gone. Its the little things that make life good :)
Our cousin was in the hospital for surgery this week so we got the opportunity to go visit him a few times and play games. It was really fun to get to know him a bit better.

Fun Weekend

This weekend my sister Chantelle and her son Ethan surprised me and came to visit. They showed up Friday night and left Monday morning. She brought her sewing machine and thought it would be fun to sew something for my future kiddos. I have a list of things I want to make before I have kids so we just picked one and went from there. We decided to make homemade burp cloths. So we went to porters here in town and picked out some soft fleece fabric and then got to work. It made twelve in all, three in each print. It was really fun and I look forward to doing something again next visit! Ethan was adorable as always and we really enjoyed tickling him and taking precious memories. He is growing up so fast. He talks a lot now! Snuggles has warmed up to him and she lets him pet her. It is really cute. Ethan really loves Aaron, they get along great.

Sunday nap while us girls were sewing.

Sorry these are sideways I can't figure out how to fix it :/

Aaron wrapped snuggles up funny. She seriously puts up with whatever we do to her.
Ethan saw we were taking a picture and wanted to be in it lol

Our finished burp cloths. Aaron and I love them!
Aaron and I are training for a half marathon in September and today we ran 3.5 miles! That is more than I have ever run in my life! I couldn't be more proud. Thankfully Aaron is patient with me cause I run so slow. We ran it in 41 minutes so that is about a 12 minute mile. We are excited to have motivation to run! :)

A little bit of our lives...

Aaron won a bet so I had to make him a treat as reward. Cinnamon rolls are definitely a favorite in our house.

This is what snuggles does all day. She is adorable :)

We just bought this pedometer for $7. We are training for a half marathon and thought it would be nice to know how far we are running.

Snuggles was so happy it was sunny she started rolling around in the grass.

This is how she looks every time we get yummy food out.

This is my very unhealthy but very cheap lunch. I love my polish sausages!

 We made more bread!

About to play wally ball with some friends

Our friends the Martins. We are seriously so grateful for their friendship! They make our life so much more interesting.

 Playing wally ball

We played 5 rounds. It was a great workout and so much fun.

These are green shakes. We are replacing one meal a day with these. They are full of all kinds of fruits and vegetables. A great way to get our daily servings without having to have a salad every meal.

This is pretty much where Aaron lives when he isn't at school. He is such a hard worker, I am so proud of him for his diligence.

So that's our life right now. Its about to change because I just got a full-time job at Great Clips! I am so excited to start working and making some money.

Is it really March already??

Hello World!
Our blog has been a little too quiet lately hasn't it? Well here is what's been going on. I graduated Cosmetology school on January 30. I was so ready to be done at that school! That weekend we drove to Boise so I could take my practical. It was such a stressful weekend! Even though I had gotten a blessing and prayed really hard, it seems that something was against me taking my boards for some reason. So many things went wrong it was incredibly unbelievable. Thankfully it all worked out and I did just fine on my boards, I got a 93 on my written and a 94 on my practical. I was just thankful I had passed. We came back home and Aaron went back to his busy schedule of classes and work. I anxiously waited to hear back from a job that never called. I donated plasma, de-cluttered our  house and worked on my two online classes. Valentines weekend came and went. We basically locked ourselves inside and played games, watched movies, and read our books. It was relaxing and a nice break from the world. 2 days after Valentines day I got a call from my dear mother saying that she was having a really hard time. I knew that I needed to go home and help her out. So with help from her friend who worked for an airline I flew out the next morning to Arkansas. I was there for almost 2 weeks. While there I helped her out with her in-home daycare. Anyone who saw me could tell that I obviously wasn't used to being around kids. I have been up at college living the adult life I suppose and I did not have the patience to deal with the kids like I used to. They drove me crazy! I could have pulled my hair out I was so frustrated. They didn't listen to me and the threw toys everywhere but when my mom walked in they would act like angels. I did not understand. As I took care of them I told myself it was going to be a LONG time before I had children. It was like this the entire first week. Then my perspective changed. I decided instead of caring for them the way my mother had told me, I would try caring for them as if they were actually my children. I'm not sure what exactly I did differently but suddenly these children were listening to me, they were laughing, giggling, cuddling, you name it they were doing it. I can honestly say I fell head over heels in love with them. I looked forward to them coming in the morning and was bummed when they left. By the time I left Arkansas I was a whirlwind of emotions. I was beyond exhausted and couldn't wait to see my husband again, but I was also heartbroken to leave those children behind. When I first got there I was adamant that I was not ready to have children. By the time I left I could hardly wait to have children. Unfortunately it isn't the right time for us to bring children into the world but now I am not so frightened. No matter what my children are like I now know that I will just have to learn the right method to work with them. I will have to come to their level. But I should be alright. I look forward to being a mother when the time is right. I came back just one week ago. Since then I have been looking for a job, donating plasma, doing homework, working out, and researching lots of stuff. I had an interview on Friday and they want me to come back this Tuesday and demonstrate a haircut for them on my husband. I hope this job works out because I am eager to work.

This is some homemade bread I made on Thursday it turned out perfect!

This is Carol George, she was my faithful customer while I was in school. She came in once a week to get her hair styled. She made me a baby blanket for when I have children. I was so sad to say goodbye.

This is from when Chad came to visit us. We had a fun time with him, though we felt bad cause we were both in school while he was here.

This is a game night we had when Chad was visiting. We invited Chris and Allison over along with an old roommate Anthony.

So that is what our life is like right now. I know one day we will look back and be glad we documented this.
